Rob Fainer, CIM®, is a Portfolio Manager & Senior Investment Advisor with Manulife Securities Incorporated’s Fainer Wealth Group. With 20 years of wealth management experience, Rob helps his clients reach specific financial goals by guiding them through the financial markets.
With a passion for investing and adhering to a disciplined and ‘deep value’ approach, Rob actively manages investment portfolios with the goal of maximizing long-term after-tax returns, according to each client’s risk & return objectives. In 2017, Rob became Manulife Securities’ first Portfolio Manager, in Quebec, and launched its first discretionary platform to manage client assets. Rob’s attention to detail, client-first mentality, and proven investment philosophy has earned him the trust of his clients.
In 2006, Rob graduated from Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business with a Bachelor of Commerce; he completed part of his studies in France, at SKEMA Business School. Immediately thereafter, he became an Investment Advisor, and Financial Security Advisor. In 2013, Rob earned his Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation and became an Associate Portfolio Manager. He is currently the Chair of the Board & an Officer of Montreal’s Sylvan Adams YM-YWHA and is a Director of Agence Ometz. In 2015, he was awarded the Federation CJA Jon Roskies Award for New Leadership. In 2023, Rob earned his Board Member Certification from the Kellogg Executive Education Institute.
